More house work

So another update on the house work.....

After getting back from Arrowhead on Sunday afternoon we still had time to put a final coat of pain on the baseboards and door which meant by the evening we could actually pull the furniture back and sleep in our own beds! It had been about a week since we have slept in the room. We could not be more please how the room is looking.

With our door being painted white on both sides this made is very obvious that the other doors in the hall way needed to be painted. ARGH... We patched and taped off the doors Tuesday, and put on the first coat last night. Baseboards and Door jams are not fun painting! Give me a clean wall any day and I would be happy to paint. Corners and creases of the door just suck trying to get enough paint and not too much to create a drip. Today we should have our final coat and we can check another item off the list.

Monday I had carried in our vanity and 'dry' fit it in the bathroom. When I placed the granite counter on top it looked just incredible.... We now are in the process of getting some tile estimates are so far blown away with the cost of labor. Home Depot quoted us $30 a sqft for the shower and walls. I think there are about 100sqft in the shower which is WAY more than we expected to being paying for. We may just have to live with the god awful tile we have and save up. If we decide to not tile I will likely put in the vanity and hook up the faucet and drain this weekend.

Side yard gardening (roses?)
Wood chips under swing set
Sod in the back
Cleanup up the garage (maybe drywall?)
