It has been very busy here in Omaha now with the move less than 2 weeks away.... Packing, packing and more packing. I would guess that we are at 80% packed already and living on the bare necessities.
Friday marked the end of the school year for the kids and I think we are all relieved. It is a lot of work for the children and us especially. 3 hours of homework ways on the parents just as much as the kids. Both children did an outstanding job this school year and we can't wait to see how this translates for second and eighth grade next year.
Friday night April and I went to a grillout (also known as a BBQ). We had a great time hanging out with many of our friends that we have met here in Omaha... We will miss them greatly.
Saturday is "Softball Saturday" - Before the game we met up with Marjorie and the 'twins' for breakfast at IHOP... Always fun. Chris was out coaching Tanner's team to another victory... they are undefeated this year. Madison did well in her game getting a hit off the first pitch in each of her 3 at bats. She played catcher the last inning and was a big sweaty mess as the temps and humidity were up on Saturday. The rest of the day we hung around the house doing some packing and prepping for the house upon our return (THANKS MOM!)
Today is the big service in Omaha.... The District Apostle is here and the congregation is all excited. It will only be a sub-district service which will make it cozy. Madison has her second game this afternoon at 1PM so we hope church does not run too long.... Then maybe some swimming as the pool opened up this weekend at the apartments.
Monday start my last full week of working from home. It will be very odd having to drive into an office setting and I hope the adjustment will be easy. It is very nice to be able to work at your own pace, in your pajamas (if you want) and be around the family more frequently.... can you imagine saving an hour commute every day.
OK, I got to go and get ready for church... I hope that boy left me some warm water!

Welcome to the Reimers Family Blog
Hello Reader,
I am amazed at the huge number of people who actually come in (and return) to this site. There are hits from all over the United States and even some people viewing from outside the country.
It is a difficult job to update with any regularity so please send me a note or comment under each post and let me know you are reading!
