Today in Omaha the District Apostle held service. It was the first time a District Apostle was in the state since Krause was in western Nebraska way back in the 80's. Service was awesome. . . we all left with something to ponder and build upon.
The service was a rather small gathering as it was only Omaha, Ainsworth and Sioux City... maybe 60 in attendence. This made the whole thing very intimate.... It is not everyday you sit front row at one of these services. The District Apostle took the time to serve each person communion as apossed to accepting help or allowing the others at the altar to dispense the sacrament.
In front of the altar was a wonderful array of flowers... many planted flowers were scattered all around the church. The church also upulstered the pews which was desperately needed and even replaced the old outdated carpet for the occasion. There was a special flower arrangement in front of the altar with long stem roses in honor of Tanner.
