Tornado in Omaha - LAST NIGHT

http://www.ketv.com/weather/16541636/detail.html

OMAHA, Neb. -- Storm spotters and radar indicated a tornado touched down near 136th and Y streets in Omaha at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday and Mayor Mike Fahey and residents were out at dawn surveying the damage.
At least one home sustained major damage in the area, and numerous trees were down. At 137th Street and Z Circle, Valerie Becker said her roof was blown off. Power was reportedly out to about 12,000 Omaha Public Power District customers.

We are at 156 and 'a' street... pretty darn close. We did not hear the tornado sirens last night and slept through the storm. Marjorie and Chris said they heard the sirens pretty loud and clear but I guess the apartment is too soundproof. I am a light sleeper so this is pretty scary.

This is about 4 miles from our house!

That is scary. I can't wait to get out and begin our drive, but news like this makes me want to get the heck out of Dodge ASAP!

It is a difficult job to update with any regularity so please send me a note or comment under each post and let me know you are reading!
